Spring Outfit Inspiration

Since I'm already dying for Spring to come (where I live, it's in the 70s this week, so it's only making me even more excited). Here are some of my favorite outfit inspirations from Pinterest for Spring.

January Favorites

1. Hunter Boots
I got my Hunters as a Christmas present, and OH MY GOODNESS I LOVE THEM. They go so well with almost anything, and I'm super happy with the color I got:

If you're curious about what kind of Hunters these are, they're the Original Tall Gloss Rain Boots in Military Red. Tip: when figuring out your Hunter size, I recommend using the "size guide". It's super easy to use, and very helpful. I am normally a size 9, and I'm an 8 in my boots, and my mom is an 8 and 1/2, and a roomy 8 in Hunters, just to give you an idea.

2. Make Up For Ever Rouge Lipstick
So I actually don't have the full-size version of this lip-product- I got a sample at Sephora. But I love my sample (and plan on purchasing a regular one on my next mall-trip)! It's super smooth, and the colors show up great. I have the shade N9, "Copper Pink" but there are 52 different shades you can choose from.

3. Beats by Dre Solo HD Headphones
I purchased these earlier this month, and they're amazing! I'd always just been using the earbuds that Apple gives with their products, which tend to hurt my ears quite a bit, and I never was very satisfied with the sound quality. After getting these, I finally realized the difference a good pair of headphones can make on the quality of the music you're listening to.

Holiday Photos

These past few weeks, I've been spending time with family and friends. During this time, I've been fiddling around a bit with my camera: here are a few of my favorite photos from the break!

Wishing everyone a great start to 2015!

My Absence...

Please excuse my lack of posting lately, I've been spending time with my family and friends over the last few weeks for the holidays, so I haven't found much time for blogging. Expect some more posts soon!

Recipe: Christmas Pretzel Hugs

I have made these bite-sized treats a couple times this holiday season, and they've been a hit with my family and friends! They're super easy to make, and take only about 10 minutes total of work.

Makes: about 70
Time: 20 minutes
What You Need:
1 pkg. Milk Chocolate M&Ms
1 pkg. Hershey's Chocolate Hugs, unwrapped
Pretzel Squares (not the buttered ones!)

What You Do:
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Place the 30-40 pretzel squares onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place a single unwrapped Hug onto the center each pretzel, and put in the oven for 4-5 minutes (until the hugs are shiny, but not runny). Take one M&M and lightly press it into the center of each hug. When you have finished with the whole tray, place them into the fridge to cool for about 10 minutes.

I got the recipe from Cooking Classy's blog.

November Favorites

Now that November is at a close... I thought I was share with you all some of my November favorites! My goal is to share my top 5 favorite things at the end of every month with y'all, and this is my first time doing so. I say we jump right in!

  1. Vineyard Vines Long-Sleeve Vintage Whale Graphic Pocket T-Shirt
This shirt is so comfy- it's made of super soft cotton-jersey, and keeps me warm on those 60˚ fall days. I got my shirt in navy blue for a twin day outfit with a friend during our school's homecoming week!

  2. Eos "Summer Fruit" Lip Balm
I am a big fan of Eos lip balm, and I have to say that Summer Fruit is one of my favorite flavors. Although it's fall, it's a fruity flavor and not too overwhelming

  3. Paper Towns, John Green
I love a good book, and John Green always delivers! His book Paper Towns was really addictive, and he had me never wanting to put it down! I really recommend it, especially if you're looking for a suspenseful novel!

  4. Banana Republic Skinny Jeans
I was so excited when I slipped these on in the dressing room: they fit perfectly! Banana Republic and Gap are known for their good quality jeans, and this is my first pair. Let me tell you, they're living up to all the hype! I love the dark wash, as well as the (gold?) stitching!

  5. Chevron Wristlet
I got this as a birthday gift earlier this year, and I have found myself using it a lot now later in the year. It's easy to slip into my backpack, and doesn't hold too many things, which helps me limit what I can carry.

Thanks for reading! What are your November favorites? Tell me in the comment section!
